Dozemary Pool 1. I enjoyed working in a looser style with more emphasis on the colour.

Dozemary Pool 2. I much prefer the extra contrast in the cloud formation

An altogether different approach with the choice of these warm colours for a separate study.

Dozemary Pool

Yesterday I had been working on this painting of Dozemary Pool on Bodmin Moor which is very near the famous Jamaica Inn at Bolventor. Its a particularly flat and baron area but I like the association with the Arthurian legend of the sword of Excalibur thought to have been lost in its waters.  

Constantine Bay

A small painting on panel board of Constantine Bay near Padstow in Cornwall. Painted very quickly and just wanting to concentrate on the rock pools in the foreground.

Looking through some work I painted back in 2007 after a rare snowfall in our county of Cornwall.
